Being in a relationship with a veteran struggling with addiction is the genesis of this ministry. Watching a good person hurting from child hood trauma and abuse, and experiencing indescribable loss in the military was heart-breaking. He was addicted to alcohol, like his mother, and many men in the military.  Later it changed from alcohol to meth. His life quickly spiraled out of control, and like many in Colorado Springs, he was homeless. I walked the journey with him while he was in and out of jail, going through rehab after rehab, and still not addressing the root cause of his hopelessness. It put an insatiable desire in me to help people like him and others going through similar situations. The mission just metastasized from there. Now we are helping men, woman, families, the homeless, the abused, and everyone in between. The root cause is the same for all of it. We all need to know Jesus personally, and from there, learn what our purpose is on this earth. The goal of this Institution is to take people that are in the lowest point of their lives and have them leave empowered, knowing who they are and how to fulfill their purpose.
